Youth Cultural Summer Camp

The first Youth Cultural Summer Camp was held in 1998 at UC Santa Cruz. Since that time, summer camps have been held at 13 different University of California colleges, California State colleges and private colleges and universities. Hundreds of students, ages 12 to 17, have attended summer camp since 1998.

Students learn about academic offerings, course selections, student housing, residential life, financial aid, scholarships, college applications and enrollment procedures. They also learn about Portugal, Portuguese language, culture, literature, arts, history, music, dance and Portuguese food. All while living in a college dorm on campus.
